Hello, I am Elena
I am a project manager. A parent. An expat living in Rome, Italy.
A few years ago, I relocated here with my family. What started as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
Origins
Moving to Italy wasn't in the long-term plan. Like many international relocations, it started as a job chance and soon grew into something far more substantial.
The initial months were demanding— unfamiliar processes, routines, and expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more challenging than expected.
The Transition Phase
Culture shock, doubt, and hands-on learning were part of it. Over time, routines settled in. We found spots that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Started Relay Current Route
Most online resources leaned toward corporate relocation tips or shallow travel content. What was lacking was a frank, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance grounded in everyday life in Italy.
BEGIN_OUTPUTWhat This Site Covers (And What It Doesn’t)
This site covers:
- Practical insights from living in Italy
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site isn't:
- A tourism authority resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- A general travel blog
What’s Ahead
Our stay in Italy goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Rome or anywhere in Italy, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Elena
